Get a book out of the library. Do you work for free? Why should someone who's spent time and money learning how to train dogs train yours for free. Go to the library and do it yourself.

that's funny.
Was your puppy free too? If so, maybe you can get free training from the people that gave you your free puppy.
Why would someone who (theoretically) has spent years learning and working, suddenly decide to start helping people and their dogs for free? Not gonna happen – not unless a friend of yours is a dog trainer – in which case, you wouldn't be asking us.

hey! let me know if you find any within the next 10 years:P

The only free obedience classes if you train them yourself. And you shouldn't ask people on the Internet because everyone around the world is on here. You should ask around your town and stuff.

Get recommendations for a good book on it. It's really all about you learning how to teach obedience anyway.
Rarely you can find free obedience classes being offered at kennels or pet stores but basic obedience is something you can learn from books/videos if you are dedicated enough so don't sweat it too much.
One animal hospital I worked at had someone teach basic obedience/puppy socialization classes one day a week as a form of advertising/outreach for free.

Well, at least you're trying to be a good dog owner, kudos for that, even though it's probably a pious hope. Doubtful that these services are free anywhere. Our Park District has puppy training clases that are offered very cheaply as a community service. Call the Village Hall, call the non emergency number for the police department, call the local vets and ask. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky! Good luck.

Maybe ask the breeder you obtained your puppy from if they can help you learn to train your puppy? I don't know that there are any free obedience classes and for the most part, your puppy doesn't need them, you do Most of obedience training is the person or people knowing how to properly direct, repeat and reward a puppy for proper behavior. Most obedience classes put on by your local obedience clubs aren't terribly expensive anyway, less than the innoculations you need to give your pup and they are certainly worth it, if simply for socialization of the pup as well as training in strange, distracting areas so that the pup actually does get trained. Most obedience clubs have puppy classes where pups are not pushed into too much obedience but you would be surprised at how quickly a pup can learn once you learn what to do. Most are like once a week training classes for something like eight weeks at a time and you do 'homework' training the rest of the week a time or two a day for short periods of time. You can read books or read online but unless you are shown, most of the time I haven't seen terribly good results from this sort of training. You can learn from reading books and stuff but don't rely on them to teach you to properly train your pup if you have no or little experience in training to begin with.
Once the pup is fully innoculated I would suggest looking to local dog people for locations of good obedience classes and start a dog savings account as obedience lessons will be your least expensive part of dog ownership!

We are a Dog training company based in Canterbury. While we do not do face – to – face sessions for free our courses are cheap and we have vouchers easily accessible.
Also we don't charge for email advice and so feel free to email us any specific queries you may have. That is free.
