By Puppyman • May 23, 2009 • Filed in: Puppy Health and Veterinary

We have a Basset puppy which you perceived upon Jan 29th. She came with annals of all her initial shots as well as Frontline treatment. She was additionally already microchipped. We took her to a Banfield oldster a subsequent day for a check-up. She had a respiratory cough, so they put her upon antibiotics all a whilst notice me it could be distemper as well as to watch for alternative signs. By a subsequent week (follow-up) a cough had left utterly though afterwards her nose starting using (pretty most non-stop). We have been right away rounding a second week as well as she still has an off as well as upon runny nose (greenish-yellow). you have review about a symptoms of distemper as well as how fast they take over. She has never stopped eating (tons), never been lethargic, never been depressed; however, she has had sum of dual soothing stools in a past dual days. you am so confused. The oldster only says you have to watch her as well as go upon a antibiotics. It is really upsetting only sitting around watchful to know if she has a deadly mildew or not. Help???
Yes, you have let a breeder know. As shortly as you got behind from a initial oldster revisit you emailed her. She has not emailed me behind yet, however you told her you would email her again when you could let her know for certain a vet's outcome upon a the small one.

Since it appears that you are consulting with your vet on a regular basis, I'll just say that as long as she is eating welland active then I wouldn't worry too much, but if she loses her appetite or becomes lethargic I'd get her in to the vet immediately.

Have you spoken to the breeder about this?

I would call the breeder right away so they don't sell anymore and they can keep an eye out on there group. It might not be distemper, but could be. It's very hard to not know for sure but this is all you can do, follow your vets advice, treatments and keep a close eye on her. Best of luck to her and u.
